History at Victory Field: This will be Ball State's third game at Victory Field. The Cardinals took on Butler at Victory Field in 2003 and 2012. The Cardinals defeated Butler on April 16, 2003 by a score of 6-5. Brad Snyder hit a two-run home run in the winning effort.

His best game during the streak was going 3-for-3 with a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored against Bowling Green on April 15. Stayton, a 2016 first team All-MAC honoree, leads the team in batting average (.347) and on-base percentage (.464).

He picked up two saves in the series at Buffalo and went on to earn MAC West Pitcher of the Week accolades.
Double Trouble for the Opposition: The Cardinals lead the MAC in doubles (78) and have hit at least one double in 11 consecutive games. Ball State tallied a season-high seven doubles in the win over Valparaiso on April 11.
