Action gets underway Friday morning in Silver Lake, Ohio

Schedule Note: Because of wet course conditions, Friday's tee times have been moved back two hours. Ball State's first starting time will now be 10:40 a.m. off the 10th tee.
The Ball State women's golf team heads to Silver Lake Country Club in Northeast Ohio for this weekend's Mid-American Conference Championships.
The Cardinals' opening-round tee times begin Friday at 10:40 a.m. with live scoring available at golfstat.com. The three-day, 54-hole event will determine the league's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championships.
Ball State enters the tournament with victories in two of its past three events, having won the Kingsmill Intercollegiate and the EKU Colonel Classic before wrapping up the regular season with an eighth-place finish at the IU Invitational.
Senior Kelsey Sear paces a balanced Ball State lineup with a 76.97 stroke average, while senior Allison Lindley and sophomore Sydney Anderson lead the team with three top-10 finishes, including one victory apiece. Freshman Manon Tounalom, with four top-20 results, and junior Morgan Nadaline have also been key contributors.
Lindley and Nadaline led Ball State with top-15 finishes at last year's MAC Championships at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana.
Kent State, ranked No. 15 in the nation, is the host for the tournament and the defending team champion, while Akron sophomore Danielle Nicholson returns as the individual medalist.
Ball State has twice finished as the MAC runner-up (2010 and 2012) and has twice boasted the individual league champion (Katie Sundberg in 2005 and Jenna Hague in 2012).
