Wiseman Paces Men’s Golf on Day 1 at Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Sophomore Timothy Wiseman led the Ball State men's golf team Friday at with 72 (+1) in the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship.
Wiseman is tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard with two rounds to play. The Cardinals opened with a score of 303 (+19) as a team on the South Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club to find themselves in 14th place.
Ball State also counted a 74 from Michael Makris and a 77 from Johnny Watts in Friday's round to go along with an 80 from both Michael VanDeventer and Colin Proctor.
Sixth-ranked Florida (-8) holds a one-shot lead over third-ranked Vanderbilt. This week's field includes eight teams ranked among the nation's top 75.
Vanderbilt's Theo Humphrey sits atop the individual leaderboard after opening with a round of 66 (-5).
The second round will be played Saturday, with Ball State going off the 10th tee starting at 9:35 a.m. CT (10:35 ET). Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
