Wiseman Named MAC Golfer of the Week

Sophomore finished runner-up to lead Cardinals to Pinehurst team title
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State sophomore Timothy Wiseman shared this week's Mid-American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honor.

Wiseman posted the best result of his collegiate career with a solo second-place finish at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. The Corydon, Indiana, product finished one stroke behind individual medalist William Harwood of Elon.

He led Ball State to a seven-shot victory on the team leaderboard at Pinehurst No. 8 for the Cardinals' first victory of the season.

Wiseman tied for the low score in each of the final two rounds with even-par 71s. Those scores were more than seven strokes better than the field's average. He finished with a 54-hole total of 217 (+4).

Wiseman shared this week's honor with Bowling Green's Max Rispler and Kent State's Ian Holt.

Ball State returns to action March 31 with the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club outside Nashville, Tennessee.
