March 15, 2017 | Soccer
Lorina White, who completed her collegiate career with the Ball State soccer team last fall, is training with the Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League.
Â
White, the two-time Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was called in by the Pride, which is entering its second season in the NWSL.
Â
The Pride features a talented roster that includes national team standout Alex Morgan. Orlando is also reportedly set to sign five-time FIFA World Player of the Year Marta.
Â
White helped Ball State win back-to-back MAC championships in her two years with the Cardinals after joining the program as the national junior college player of the year.
Â
She is one of four members of the Cardinals' senior class planning to play professionally. Leah Mattingly, Chay McNitt and Gabby Veldman are all pursuing opportunities internationally.
