Women’s Golf in Florida to Host Sunshine Invite

Event begins with 36 holes Friday in Port St. Lucie

The Ball State women's golf team will open up its spring schedule this week when it hosts the Ball State Sunshine Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The action gets underway Friday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at St. Lucie Trail Golf Club. The event features 36 holes Friday and 18 holes Saturday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
The 12-team field for the tournament also includes Drake, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, IUPUI, Keiser, Lamar, Lipscomb, McNeese State, Southern Illinois, Toledo and Valparaiso.
Ball State's lineup includes Sydney Anderson, Kelsey Sear, Allison Lindley, Manon Tounalom and Morgan Nadaline. Anderson led the Cardinals during the fall schedule with a 76.67 stroke average and two top-10 finishes in five events.
This is the first year Ball State has hosted the Sunshine Invitational. It is the first of six events on the Cardinals' spring schedule leading up to the Mid-American Conference Championships in April.
