Women’s Golf Wraps up Rio Verde Invite

Cardinals close with round of 302, finish tied for 12th
LEADERBOARD
RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Allison Lindley closed with a round of 74 Sunday, and Manon Tounalom posted a top-25 finish for the Ball State women's golf team at the Rio Verde Invitational.
The Cardinals recorded a final-round score of 302, counting a trio of 76s from Tounalom, Kelsey Sear and Morgan Nadaline in addition to Lindley's 74. They finished in a tie for 12th place with a 54-hole total of 919 on the White Wing Course at Rio Verde Country Club.
Tounalom was the team's top finisher in a tie for 25th at 226 (+10). It was the freshman's second straight top-25 result to open the spring season.
Eastern Michigan came from five strokes back with the low round of the tournament, a 292, to win by four shots with a total of 889. Northern Illinois (893) finished second, while 36-hole leader UMKC (895) was third.
Akron's Danielle Nicholson was the individual medalist at 215 (-1), one shot better than UMKC's Chandler Gallagher.
Lindley was Ball State's second-best finisher in a tie for 37th, while Sear and Nadaline tied for 49th.
The Cardinals will return to action March 14-15 in Kailua, Hawaii, at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.
