Sophomore midfielder is one of 10 candidates nationwide for weekly award
Ball State midfielder Julia Elvbo has been nominated for the D1 Women's Soccer HERO of the Week award, an award from HERO Sports that recognizes the best individual performances of the week for NCAA sports.
The award is determined by fan votes and the poll closes this Friday at 3 p.m. ET. Votes may be cast once per hour until the deadline, and the winners will be announced Friday afternoon.

Elvbo scored three goals over the weekend as the Cardinals moved into first place of the Mid-American Conference standings. She tallied game winners against both Ohio and Kent State.
