Women’s Swimming and Diving Host Ohio For Home Opener

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's swimming and diving team is set to host their first home meet of the season. The Cardinals will take on the Bobcats of Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. in Lewellen Aquatic Center.

- Peighton Gilbert currently sits atop the team in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.55. This time also places Gilbert 10th in the Mid-American Conference.
- Audrey Schank is fourth in the MAC in the 50 backstroke with a final time of 26.73. Schank is also seventh in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.81.
- Mikayla Dostall is 15th in the conference with a time of 28.22 in the 50 backstroke.
- Andrea Richter touched the wall at 58.03 in the 100 backstroke, putting her in 11th place in the conference. Richter is also ranked in the top 16 in the 100 butterfly. She marked a time of 57.42 last weekend, placing her sixth.
- Anne Vormohr is the third Cardinal to be in the top 16 in the 100 backstroke after the Indiana Intercollegiate meet. Vormohr marked a time of 58.50.
- Amanda Kedzierski recorded a time of 1:05.53 in the 100 breaststroke last weekend, earning her third in the conference.
- In the 100 butterfly, Maryn Meldrum currently sits in the 12th place spot with a time of 58.38. Meldrum is also ranked in the top 16 in the conference with a time of 2:16.42 in the 200 IM.
- Sophie Bader currently sits in 13th place in the 100 butterfly after marking a time of 58.47 last weekend. Bader is also 11th in the 200 IM (2:12.32).
- Rachel Bertram is third in the MAC after marking a score of 261.10 in the 1-meter dive last weekend. Bertram is also second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 276.50.
- Caitlin Locante recorded a score of 218.65 in the 3-meter dive, placing her 10th in the conference.
