Men’s Swimming and Diving Falls Short in Meet at Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Ball State men's swimming and diving team fell to MAC foe Eastern Michigan Saturday afternoon, 150-125.
The following are the top performances from the meet:
The Ball State men's swimming and diving team will be in action again Friday, Jan. 20 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to take on Indiana State and Eastern Illinois.

The following are the top performances from the meet:
- Junior Isaac Walling placed fifth in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:01.09, earning the team two points. Walling also had a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.36.
- Junior Banistre Lienhart had a final time of 1:48.86 in the 200 freestyle, finishing in second place. Lienhart also earned points with a time of 23.42 in the 50 freestyle.
- Freshman Adam Pongracz earned the team three points with his third place finish in the 200 freestyle.
- Freshmen Ben Andrew, Logan Ackley and Chase Jackson earned points for the Cardinals in the 100 backstroke. Andrew's time of 54.13 earned the team four points while Ackley earned three (54.71) and Jackson earned two (55.47). Andrew also had a third place finish in the 50 freestyle with a final time of 22.22.
- In the 100 breaststoke, Cullen Tyler earned four points with a time of 1:00.57. Zach Toman earned three points in the 100 breast (1:01.57) while Luke Nondorf earned two (1:02.99).
- Seniors Bradley Ridge, Tanner Barton and Jacob Eckert finish two, three, four respectively in the 200 butterfly. Ridge finished with a time of 1:56.98. Barton touched the wall at 1:58.25. Eckert's final time was 2:02.94. Barton also earned two points in the 100 freestyle at 49.42.
- Senior Austin Green earned four points in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.87.
- Logan Ackley (1:56.27), Chase Jackson (2:03.50) and JD Middleton (2:03.92) earned second, third and fourth in the 200 backstroke.
- In the 200 breaststroke, Cullen Tyler placed second (2:12.49), Zach Toman placed third (2:18.09) and Mitch Prather placed fourth (2:18.16).
The Ball State men's swimming and diving team will be in action again Friday, Jan. 20 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to take on Indiana State and Eastern Illinois.
