Field Hockey Falls to #4 Penn State

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Ball State field hockey team lost its third game of the season after a tough 7-0 loss to #4 Penn State Saturday afternoon.
The Lions proved to be too much for the Cardinals right off the bat with a tip in the third minute of the game. Penn State went on to tally three more goals before the half and three more in the second half.
Senior midfielder Mikayla Mooney and senior forward Lexi Kavanaugh both took one shot on goal.
Jordan Dues had seven saves in the contest.
The Cardinals will look to take down the Iowa Hawkeyes tomorrow at 2 p.m. The Cards will begin conference play on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Kent State.
