LIVE SCORING
The Ball State women's golf team will host its home tournament, The Cardinal Classic, Monday and Tuesday at The Players Club in Yorktown.
The Cardinals welcome 15 other teams, including defending tournament champion Eastern Kentucky. The event features 36 holes Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and the final 18 holes Tuesday at 9 a.m. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Sydney Anderson headlines the Ball State lineup this week after a fourth-place result in the Cardinals' first tournament vaulted her from an individual spot to the No. 1 position. She shared Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week honors for that performance at the Redbird Invitational.
Anderson will be joined in the lineup by Allison Lindley, Morgan Nadaline, Kelsey Sear and Manon Tounalom. Kayla Adamson will compete as an individual.
The rest of the field for the tournament includes Austin Peay, Bowling Green, Bradley, Central Michigan, Dayton, Drake, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, Northern Illinois, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Toledo, Western Illinois and Western Michigan. Additionally, Indiana will have three individuals competing.
Ball State has won the Cardinal Classic three times dating back to its inaugural playing in 2001. That is one shy of Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan for the most championships in the history of the event.
