July 05, 2016 | Women's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Meghan McDougall, who recently graduated as a member of the Ball State women's golf team, has earned All-America Scholar recognition from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the second year in a row.
McDougall graduated magna cum laude in May with a 3.842 GPA and a bachelor's degree in history. On the course, she competed in eight events during her senior year and managed a pair of top-20 finishes.
To be nominated for All-America Scholar recognition, golfers must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds during the year.
McDougall's selection marks the 12th consecutive year Ball State has had at least one representative on the WGCA's list. During that time, the Cardinals have had a total of 47 All-America Scholar selections.
