Women's Tennis Plays Michigan Friday In NCAA's

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Ball State women's tennis team plays at Michigan Friday at 1 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against the Wolverines. The Cardinals earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships by winning the Mid-American Conference tournament.
The Cardinals, under the direction of head coach Max Norris, earned their first-ever berth in the NCAA Championships after defeating Western Michigan 4-0 in the MAC Tournament championship match.
The winner of the Ball State-Michigan match will advance to play Saturday, May 14 against the winner of the Kentucky-Xavier match.
Ball State will take a 22-3 overall record to Ann Arbor. The Cardinals also won the MAC regular season championship. Michigan, the No. 10 overall seed, enters the match with an 18-5 record. The Wolverines finished second in the Big Ten and lost in the conference tournament championship match to Ohio State. The Wolverines made it to the round of 16 at the 2015 NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 7 Georgia.
