Nadaline Leads Women's Golf on MAC Day 1

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- Morgan Nadaline led the Ball State women's golf team with a 74 (+2) in Friday's opening round of the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Allison Lindley added a 75 as Ball State opened with a team score of 311 (+23) at Purgatory Golf Club. The Cardinals also counted a pair of 81s from Kelsey Sear and Sydney Anderson.
Ball State is ninth as a team entering Saturday's second round. Nadaline is tied for 13th on the individual leaderboard, while Lindley is tied for 19th.
Toledo leads the way at 289 (+1), followed by Western Michigan at 293 (+5) and defending champion Kent State at 294 (+6).
Toledo's Manisa Isavas and Akron's Danielle Nicholson share the individual lead after rounds of 69 (-3).
Lindley made five birdies on the day, the second-most of any player in the field. Nadaline made two back-nine birdies, playing the final 12 holes in even par.
Ball State will tee off in the second round Saturday at 8 a.m. The final round will be played Sunday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
