Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Colleton River

BLUFFTON, S.C. -- The Ball State men's golf team finished 10th at the Colleton River Collegiate after a final-round score of 317 on Tuesday.
The Cardinals posted a 54-hole total of 932 on the Dye Course at Colleton River Plantation Club.
College of Charleston held on for a two-shot win with a score of 891 (+27). Memphis (893) and Michigan State (895) finished second and third, respectively, among the 12-team field.
Thomas Perrot of Memphis held onto his overnight lead on the individual leaderboard to win with a score of 217 (+1). Jose Montano of Xavier was one shot back.
James Blackwell was the top finisher for Ball State in a tie for 34th at 231 (+15). He posted the Cardinals' best round Tuesday with a 77. Michael VanDeventer was next for Ball State in a tie for 41st at 232 (+16).
The Colleton River Collegiate was the first of two tournaments for the Cardinals in this spring break week. They will now head to the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, which begins Friday.
