Ball Diamond Ready For Home Opener
March 15, 2016 | Baseball
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball Diamond at First Merchants Ballpark Complex has undergone a complete facelift the last couple of years and is ready for the Cardinals to play their 2016 home opener Friday against Dayton.
A new turf field and renovated dugouts were completed prior to the 2015 season. A new press box, grandstands and concession area were checked off the list in the fall. New graphics on the outfield fences were finalized this week. Click on the photo gallery to see the latest additions.
All baseball games are free to the public. Ball State has reached the MAC championship game twice in the last three years and captured the 2014 MAC regular season title. The Cardinals (8-9) are once again one of the favorites in the MAC and knocked off No. 6 LSU this past weekend.
