Anderson Fires 72 on Day 2 at Rio Verde

RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Sydney Anderson fired an even-par 72 Saturday to lead the Ball State women's golf team in the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational.
Allison Lindley carded her second straight 75 and paces the Cardinals on the individual leaderboard in a tie for 20th at 150 (+6) through two rounds.
Ball State also counted a 77 from Morgan Nadaline and an 80 from Kelsey Sear on the way to a second-round team score of 304. The Cardinals are 17th through two rounds with a total of 615 on the White Wing Course at Rio Verde Country Club.
Toledo leads the tournament at 592, followed by Wichita State at 594 and Northern Arizona at 596. Xavier's Hanna Lee holds a three-shot lead on the individual leaderboard at 141 (-3).
Anderson (152) is the second Ball State player behind Lindley. She jumped 32 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 34th with her round of 72.
The third and final round will be played Sunday with an 8 a.m. MT (10 a.m. ET) start. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
