MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State soccer team was presented its 2015 Mid-American Conference regular season championship rings Friday during the men's basketball game versus Northern Illinois.
It was an exciting evening with more than 5,000 fans on hand for the game. The soccer team received their rings during a halftime presentation.
Ball State finished the 2015 season 14-3-3 overall and posted the best conference record in program history at 10-1. The team captured the third conference championship in program history and the first since the 2006 and 2007 teams went back-to-back.
The Cardinals are set to embark on their spring schedule March 19 in Muncie. They return a strong core of players from last season, including MAC Defensive Player of the Year Lorina White, MAC Freshman of the Year Abbie Boswell and fellow All-MAC First Team selections Leah Mattingly and Alyssa Heintschel.
