#MuncieOut Slated For Men's Basketball Game on Feb. 19
February 12, 2016 | Men's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – Surely, fans have heard of "red outs" or "black outs" in an attempt to have all fans wear the same color gear as a declaration of unity.
This game will be different.
And although Ball State Athletics would prefer you sport your favorite Cardinal and White attire, we are aiming for more than just the same color shirt worn by fans.
This is Ball State vs. Northern Illinois in a MAC West showdown on CBS College Sports Network. This is a #MuncieOut.
This is an opportunity for the University and community to come together before a nationally-televised audience and put its collective best foot forward on #ChirpChirpFriday, Feb. 19. Don't be late for the 6:30 p.m. tip-off.
Why should Muncie – and all other Cardinals fans for that matter – come out? Answers below.
--The Ball State men's basketball team has the nation's third best turnaround, is battling for a MAC West title and is poised for a run in March.
--Thanks to game sponsor, Stoops Buick/GMC, even more affordable, family-friendly ticket pricing for this contest is available. All general admission tickets are slashed to $6 and reserved tickets are available for only $10. Act soon to get the best seats.
--Parking is FREE. All excuses are being eliminated. (see note below)
--Hot dogs will be $1. Enough said.
--If you buy anything other than the $1 hot dog at the concession stands, you will receive a FREE Baskin Robbins cookie. Fan's choice of delicious flavors.
--Continuing to support the Ball State Dance Marathon, head coach James Whitford and Pepsi have teamed up to donate $1 to the cause for each student that attends and goes wild in The Nest!
--A ticket from this game will be valid for the Ball State women's basketball tilt the next day (Saturday, Feb. 20) versus Western Michigan at 1 p.m. The game versus Western Michigan is the annual "Think Pink" game. Ball State Athletics is encouraging fans to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. This game is also part of the Burger King Family Game package. Stop by any of the local Muncie area Burger King locations for a ticket voucher. Frisbee dogs will be performing at halftime of this contest.
