Cardinal Notes:
• After taking a week off for final exams, the Ball State women's basketball team returns to action Sunday afternoon when it hosts Lipscomb at 2 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals are currently 6-3 this season with three non-conference games remaining.  Ball State is coming off of a 66-59 road win at Oakland University on Dec. 11. The Bisons enter the contest with a 1-10 ledger and recently suffered an 87-35 setback at Western Kentucky. Â
• Today's meeting is only the third time in program history that Ball State and Lipscomb have met with it being the first time the Bisons have played in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals lead the all-time series record 2-0. Ball State defeated Lipscomb on their home court last season by a score of 72-60 on Dec. 11.
• Senior center Renee Bennett earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Bennett combine for 44 points during last week's competition. She scored a team-high 16 points for Purdue and then led the Cardinals again with a career-best 28 point performance at Oakland. Bennett is the only Ball State player to reach double figures in all nine games this season.
• After eight games, four different Cardinals are averaging in double figures in scoring, led by senior center Renee Bennett with 16.4 points per game. Junior forward Moriah Monaco (15.0), sophomore guard Destiny Washington (10.0) and senior guard Jill Morrison (10.3) are also averaging double figures each contest. Â
• Sophomore Carmen Grande has dished out 71 total assists so far this season, she is averaging 7.9 assists per game which ranks fourth nationally. Grande registered a career-high 13 assists this season against North Carolina A&T (11/23) and Chicago State (12/1).
