Women’s Golf Playing Well Headed to Rocket Classic

Cardinals will tee it up this week at Catawba Island Club

Coming off back-to-back top-5 finishes, the Ball State women's golf team continues its fall season this week at Toledo's Rocket Classic.
The 54-hole event begins with two rounds Monday at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio. The final round will be played Tuesday. Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
Ball State finished runner-up out of 10 teams last week at Western Michigan's Kzoo Classic. Kelsey Sear (T4th) and Allison Lindley (T9th) placed among the top 10 individually. The Cardinals finished fourth of 16 teams in their previous tournament at their own Cardinal Classic.
Ball State's lineup this week will once again feature Sydney Anderson, Morgan Nadaline, Sear, Lindley and Manon Tounalom. Anderson leads the Cardinals this season with a 74.22 stroke average.
In addition to Ball State and host Toledo, the 14-team field this week also includes Bradley, Bucknell, Central Michigan, Detroit, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Fort Wayne, Green Bay, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana State, Loyola Chicago and Western Michigan.
Eastern Michigan was the only team to finish better than Ball State at the Kzoo Classic.
This week's action gets underway Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
