Women’s Golf Wraps up Fall Season in Louisville

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- The Ball State women's golf team closed out its fall schedule Tuesday with the final round of Louisville's Cardinal Cup at UofL Golf Club.
Seventh-ranked Florida State won the tournament with a 54-hole total of 876 (+12). Wisconsin (+34) finished second, and Kentucky (+37) was third. The tournament featured 11 of the top 100 teams in the country, and the top six teams on the final leaderboard were all ranked in the top 50.
Ball State closed with a round of 324 to finish 17th with a three-day total of 975. The team counted a quartet of 81s on the final day from Kelsey Sear, Morgan Nadaline, Allison Lindley and Manon Tounalom.
Wisconsin's Brooke Ferrell finished as the individual medalist at 2 under par, one stroke ahead of Florida State's Matilda Castren and Morgane Metraux.
Ball State will return to action Feb. 10-11 when it hosts the Ball State Sunshine Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
