Sear Paces Women’s Golf on Day 1 at Louisville

Tournament continues Monday with round two
LEADERBOARD
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- Kelsey Sear led the Ball State women's golf team Sunday with a round of 78 on a tough scoring day at Louisville's Cardinal Cup.
The average score for the field was nearly 80 on day one at UofL Golf Club. The Cardinals also counted scores of 80 from Allison Lindley, 82 from Morgan Nadaline and 84 from Sydney Anderson.
Ball State's team total of 324 placed the Cardinals 15th after the first of the tournament's three rounds.
Seventh-ranked Florida State leads the way with a score of 301, while four other top-50 teams are close behind: Kentucky (302), Wisconsin (303), Illinois (305) and Louisville (306).
This week's tournament features 11 teams ranked among the top 100 in the country.
Jordan Chael of Kentucky and Bing Singhsumalee of Illinois share the individual lead after rounds of 71 (-1). They were the only two players to end day one in red figures.
The second round of the tournament will be played Monday with tee times starting at 10 a.m.
