Women?s Golf Wraps Up Season-Opening Event

NORMAL, Ill. -- The Ball State women's golf team closed out the Redbird Invitational in a tie for 13th place Monday afternoon.
The Cardinals' top finisher was sophomore Morgan Nadaline, who competed in the event as an individual. Nadaline entered the final round in ninth place and closed with an 82 to finish 28th with a 54-hole total of 233 (+17).
Ball State posted a final-round 313 as a team but remained in a tie for 13th, where it started the day. The Cardinals finished with a total of 953 at Weibring Golf Club.
Kayla Adamson led Ball State on the final day with a 76, while the team also counted a78 from Sydney Anderson, a 79 from Kelsey Sear and an 80 from Allison Lindley.
Sear was the top finisher among the players in the Ball State lineup, tying for 33rd place at 235 (+19).
Bowling Green extended its lead in the team race, closing with a low round of the tournament, a 293. The Falcons finished at 905 (+41) to win by eight shots over Northern Illinois and Bradley.
Evansville's Kayla Katterhenry finished at 220 (+4) to claim individual medalist honors.
Ball State will return to action Sept. 21-22, hosting its own Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Yorktown.
