MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at Notre Dame's Gridiron Golf Classic.
The event features 36 holes on day one and 18 on day two at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
The field includes Ball State, Dartmouth, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Loyola (Md.), Notre Dame, St. Mary's (Calif.), Utah State, William & Mary, Wisconsin, Wofford and Xavier.
Ball State's McCormick Clouser won the Gridiron Classic last year (the Cardinals finished second as a team), but he is gone from the lineup this season after graduating.
The Cardinals' lineup this week will feature Johnny Watts, James Blackwell, Timothy Wiseman, Michael VanDeventer and Tyler Pearson. Pearson will make his debut, giving the team four combined freshmen and sophomores in the lineup.
Watts, last year's Mid-American Conference champion, was Ball State's top performer at the season-opening Northern intercollegiate in a tie for 18th place.
The action in South Bend gets underway Monday with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
