McCormick Clouser Again Named All-America Scholar

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Recently graduated Ball State men's golfer McCormick Clouser was named Tuesday as a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the second year in a row.
Clouser graduated in May with a 3.711 grade point average in economics. He was a second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection, a four-time MAC Golfer of the Week and the league's Earl Yestingsmeier Sportsman of the Year award winner in 2014-15.
The Bluffton, Ind., product led Ball State with a 73.84 stroke average and three top-5 finishes on the season. He managed his first collegiate win at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Golf Classic and recorded 13 rounds of even par or better, including five rounds in the 60s.
Ball State has now had a total of 48 All-America Scholar selections dating back to 1984. Clouser was one of 206 Division I players from across the country named to this year's list.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status at the Division I level, an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least three full years. He must participate in at least 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average better than 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
