Four Women's Tennis Players Earn Academic All-MAC

MUNCIE, Ind. – Four members of the Ball State women's tennis team were named to the 2015 Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, as announced by the league office.
Courtney Earnest, Toni Ormond, Ashlyn Rang and Courntey Wild all garnered academic All-MAC Team honors.
This is the third time Wild has received Academic All-MAC honors in her career. Wild, a speech pathology major, graduated from Ball State in May with a 3.84 grade- point average and is a four-time First Team All-MAC honoree.
Earnest, recently earned her degree in nursing with a 3.81 GPA. She has earned Academic All-MAC honors twice during her career. Earnest is a two-time All-MAC First Team honoree while being named to the All-MAC Second Team as a freshman. For the third straight season, she led the Cardinals in singles victories with a 23-4 record.
Ormond owns a 3.93 GPA and is currently working towards a degree in Teaching French. Rang finish with a 3.62 GPA while major in Biology and receive academic All-MAC honors for the first time in their careers. Rang earned honorable mention last season. Both helped the Cardinals make history as Ball State earned 17 wins on the season which is the best spring season record in program history. They also helped guide Ball State to the program's first-ever MAC Tournament Title appearance.
