Lindley Paces Women?s Golf in MAC Second Round

LEBANON, Ohio -- The Ball State women's golf team remained in ninth place Saturday through two rounds at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Allison Lindley led the Cardinals with a second round of 5-over par 77 in cold, rainy conditions at Shaker Run Golf Club. Lindley climbed 11 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 16th place as Ball State's top individual at 14 over par through 36 holes.
Ball State also counted an 82 from Meghan McDougall along with 85s from Jenna Hague and Mary Ellen Romero in Saturday's second round.
The Cardinals' second-round score of 329 moved their two-day total to 661. Kent State, the top-ranked team in the tournament, posted the low round of the day to overtake round-one leader Ohio. The Golden Flashes are at 609 (+33) and own a 13-shot lead over Ohio and Eastern Michigan.
Kent State players occupy the top two places on the individual leaderboard with Josee Doyon (+4) in first and Wad Phaewchimplee (+5) in second.
The third and final round will be played Sunday with live scores once again available at golfstat.com. Ball State's tee times are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
