Round 1 Complete at MAC Women?s Golf Championships

LEBANON, Ohio -- The Ball State women's golf team sits in ninth place after Friday's opening round at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
The Cardinals posted an opening-round total of 332 at Shaker Run Golf Club.
Ohio leads the tournament after a first round of 302 (+14). Kent State, the No. 35-ranked team in the country, is two shots back in second place.
Allison Lindley, Kelsey Sear and Mary Ellen Romero led Ball State with rounds of 81. They are part of a group tied for 27th place. The Cardinals also counted an 89 from Meghan McDougall.
Kent State's Wad Phaewchimplee leads the way individually at even par after a round of 72.
The second round is scheduled for Saturday, while the third and final round will be played Sunday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
