Hague?s 74 Leads Women?s Golf on Final Day in Ocala

DUNNELLON, Fla. -- The Ball State women's golf team wrapped up the final round of the Ocala Spring Invitational in 14th place Tuesday afternoon.
Jenna Hague fired a 2-over par 74 for a Ball State team that posted a final-round score of 314. The Cardinals finished the three-day event, hosted by Morehead State, with a 54-hole total of 942 at Juliette Falls Golf Resort.
South Dakota State emerged from a crowded leaderboard to claim the team title at 899 (+35). Daytona State was one shot back in second, while a trio of teams -- Murray State, Western Kentucky and South Alabama -- finished two shots back to tie for third.
Ball State remained in 14th position, where it started the day. The Cardinals counted Hague's 74 along with a 76 from Morgan Nadaline, an 81 from Kelsey Sear and an 83 (shot by both Meghan McDougall and Mary Ellen Romero).
Hague moved up into a tie for 44th as Ball State's top finisher on the individual leaderboard with a 54-hole score of 233. Sear was two shots behind her in a tie for 57th at 235. Nadaline (242), Romero (243) and McDougall (247) rounded out the lineup for the week.
Tiffany Chan of Daytona State came from behind with the low round of the tournament, a 67, to claim medalist honors at 211 (-5). Runner-up Sydney MacDonald of South Dakota State was the only other player under par for the tournament at 214 (-2).
Ball State now has one event remaining on its schedule before the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Cardinals will play April 3-4 at Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic at The Arlington Club in Richmond, Ky.
