Women?s Golf Begins Play at Ocala Invite

DUNNELLON, Fla. -- Morgan Nadaline led the Ball State women's golf team with a 78 in Sunday's opening round at the Ocala Spring Invitational hosted by Morehead State.
The Cardinals recorded a team score of 320 and find themselves in 16th place with two rounds to go at Juliette Falls Golf Resort.
South Alabama leads the way after firing a first-round 293 (+5). The Jaguars own a four-shot lead on South Dakota State entering Monday's second round.
In addition to the 78 from Nadaline, Ball State also counted an 80 from Kelsey Sear and a pair of 81s from Jenna Hague and Mary Ellen Romero. Nadaline is tied for 48th place individually.
Western Kentucky's Georgina Blackman sits atop the individual leaderboard after a round of 68 (-4). She holds a one-shot lead on Ji Sun Kang of Daytona State.
The second round is set to begin Monday at 1 p.m. The final round will be played Tuesday.
