Women?s Golf Completes Day 1 in Louisville

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- Highlighted by a career-best 70 from Morgan Nadaline in the first round, the Ball State women's golf team opened the Cardinal Cup on Monday.
The Cardinals are 13th after two rounds of play at the University of Louisville Golf Club. They own a 36-hole total of 612 (307-305).
Louisville leads the way at 584, followed by Florida State at 585 and Notre Dame at 590. The event features nine of the top 80 teams in the Golfweek national rankings.
Nadaline is the top Ball State player in a tie for 41st. Her opening round of 2-under par 70, which featured four birdies, was the second-best of any player in the field. But she fell back with a second-round 83 to finish the day at 153 (+9).
Allison Lindley (79-75) and Kayla Adamson (77-77) are one stroke behind Nadaline in a tie for 45th at 154, while Kelsey Sear (82-73) is tied for 52nd at 155. Sydney Anderson is tied for 72nd.
Wisconsin's Brooke Ferrell is the individual leader through two rounds at 140 (-4). She is one of five players in red figures.
