MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State second-year head women's tennis coach Max Norris announced the addition of Molly Fletchall (Carmel, Ind./Carmel High School) who will join the Cardinals for the 2015-16 season.
"I'm so happy to welcome Molly to our program," Norris said. "Molly will represent herself, her family, and Ball State with great character. Being coached by people who've attended Ball State, Molly is proud to be part of this school's rich tennis tradition. Moreover, Molly is an experienced and skilled player who knows what it means to work hard and be a winner. She will help make us a better program right away."
Fletchall, a senior at Carmel High School, has posted a 77-1 career record in both singles and doubles. She has been a member on two Indiana State title teams at Carmel, and was crowned the 2014 Indiana State doubles champion. Fletchall competed for the state of Indiana in the Marian Baird team cup. She also received the 2014 USTA Barbara Wynne Tennis Award, which is a sportsmanship honor given to only one Indiana junior female player a year.
Fletchall has been coached over the years by Mike Bostic at Carmel High School and privately by Mark Woldmoe. Both coaches are Ball State alumni. Woldmoe also played men's tennis player for the Cardinals. Fletchall plans to major in human resources at Ball State.
