Men's Tennis Loses 6-1 At Cleveland State Friday

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team fell to Cleveland State 6-1 Friday night at Paramount Tennis Club. The Cardinals fall to 2-3 overall while the Vikings improve to 3-0 on the season.
The lone Ball State win came from freshman Collin Rigney at the No. 6 position where he defeated Mirko Radosevic in three sets, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 11-9.
The Cardinals dropped all three doubles matches to Cleveland State taking a 1-0 advantage into singles action. Ball State's Patrick Elliott, Ray Leonard, Andrew Stutz and Jan Jirus all fell in straight sets to the Vikings. Lucas Andersen put up at good fight at the No. 2 position, after taking the first set 6-4 from Ali Shabib but would fall in the last two sets 6-3.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues spring action at home against Big Ten foe Michigan State, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
