Field Hockey Earns Eight Academic All-MAC Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State field hockey team had eight student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors, announced Wednesday afternoon by the Mid-American Conference. Senior Tarel Teach and juniors Bethany Han, Natalie Jardell and Cameron Daniels, along with sophomores Bryce Barnes, Merinda Morley, Colleen McGlynn and Mikayla Mooney were eight of 50 field hockey players to be named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
Barnes and Morley were two of just three student-athletes on the list to record a perfect 4.0 GPA, while Missouri State's Jessi Pope was the third to mark the feat.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
