September 14, 2014 | Women's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's golf team continues its fall season this week, traveling to Louisville's Cardinal Cup for the second straight year.
The tournament begins with 36 holes Monday and concludes with 18 holes Tuesday at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky. Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
The Ball State lineup will consist of Jenna Hague, Allison Lindley, Kelsey Sear, Kayla Adamson and Mary Ellen Romero. Additionally, Morgan Nadaline will compete as an individual. Hague finished sixth at the Cardinal Cup last season.
Ball State is coming off a fourth-place result out of 16 teams at last week's Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State. It was a balanced effort at the tournament with every Ball State player finishing within seven shots of each other, led by Lindley in a tie for 17th place.
The full field for this week's tournament includes Akron, Ball State, Bradley, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Georgia State, Illinois State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Longwood, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Northern Illinois and Tennessee Tech.
This week's tournament site is a familiar place for Ball State coach Katherine Mowat. Now in her 11th season in Muncie, Mowat was an individual conference champion and an Academic All-American as a Louisville golfer before graduating from the school in 2001.
