Ormond & Sanders Earn MAC Doubles Weekly Honor

MUNCIE, Ind.- The Ball State women's tennis No. 2 doubles tandem of Toni Ormond and Kristel Sanders were named the MAC Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
Ormond and Sanders went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles over the course of the weekend. The twosome defeated Cincinnati's Lauren Bellinger and Ashleigh Witte 8-4 and then IPFW's Miloslava Shustova and Emily Richardson, 8-3. Ormond and Sanders were the first match off the court in both doubles points, helping the Cardinals earn 6-1 victories over the Bearcats Saturday and the Mastodons Sunday. The twosome are now 4-1 overall and have helped Ball State to a 7-1 overall record so far this season.
The Ball State women's tennis team will continue its five-match homestand with a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 22 against Marquette (12 p.m.) and Dayton (5 p.m.).
