Women's Tennis Signs Two NLI's For 2015-16

MUNCIE, Ind. –Ball State women's tennis second-year head coach Max Norris announced the signing of Peyton Gollhofer (Cartersvill, Ga./Laurel Springs Academy) and Isabelle Dohanics (Cranberry Township, Pa./North Catholic Central) to play at Ball State in 2015-06.
"Peyton is a high-character person who will undoubtedly help take us to the next level as a program,” Norris said. "Peyton has a great skill set and work ethic which shows in her junior results in one of the toughest states (Georgia) in the country. Moreover, due to her background, I know Peyton will fully understand what it takes to be successful in the classroom and on the court for Ball State."
Gollhofer, a senior at Laurel Springs Academy, is a four star recruit according to Tennissrecruiting.net. She has been ranked nationally in the top 100 for the class of 2015 for most of her junior career. Gollhofer is known for her success at the 2014 USTA Georgia State Closed Tournament where she earned a fourth place finish in the girl's 18 singles category. In the October 2013 USTA Southern Icy Hot Tournament, she achieved third place recognition in the girl's 18 singles flight. Gollhofer is coached by Mysti Lancaster, a former tennis standout at Georgia Tech. She is the daughter of Rob and Christy Gollhofer and plans to major in nursing at Ball State.
"Isabelle is a tremendous addition to our program,” Norris said. “She is a high- character person, an amazing student, and a great tennis player. Budi Susanto did a tremendous job coaching, mentoring and preparing Isabelle for college tennis. Due to her background, I know we will be getting a hard worker, a team player, and a great competitor who will take our program to all new levels."
Dohanics is currently enrolled at North Catholic Central High School, where she has earned a four star ranking according to Tennisrecruiting.net. In 2013, Dohanics made the quarterfinals of the USTA Mike Agassi No Quit Championships girl's 18 singles, while placing third at the 2013 Middle State Closed Championship for girl's 16 singles. Dohanics is no stranger to tennis as she was coached by Budi Susanto, a former tennis standout at Buffalo. Two of her sisters also played tennis at Penn State and Iowa, respectively. She is the daughter of Janos Dohanics and Eva Toth and plans on majoring in biology in the fall at Ball State.
