Soccer?s Mattingly Named CS360 Primetime Performer

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State's Leah Mattingly has been selected to the College Soccer 360 Primetime Performers Honor Roll for week nine of the season.
Mattingly helped Ball State post back-to-back shutouts over the weekend and scored a dramatic game-winning goal late in Friday's game against Western Michigan. The sophomore defender from Floyds Knobs, Ind., scored on a header in the 88th minute to give the Cardinals a 1-0 win in a rematch of last year's MAC Tournament championship game.
She also played tremendous defense for a back line that held both Western Michigan and Northern Illinois scoreless as the Cardinals ran their shutout streak to three straight games. Ball State won both contests over the weekend by scores of 1-0 to climb from a tie for seventh in the overall MAC standings into a tie for third with three games to play.
The CS360 Primetime Performers are selected each week based on a number of criteria, including but not limited to: performing at a high level in a game with postseason implications, making key contributions against quality opponents and coming through in the clutch.
