Men?s Golfers Complete Round One at Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio -- Derek Kundenreich carded a 75 Monday for the best score among the four Ball State men's golfers competing as individuals at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Kundenreich is tied for 22nd place, while teammate Tyler Ostrom is one shot behind him in a tie for 35th after opening with a 76 at the National Cash Register Country Club. Albert Jennings shot an 82 and Quentyn Carpenter an 84.
Dayton's George Rhode III holds the lead after a 3-under par round of 68. He is the only player in red figures through one round.
Xavier leads Northern Kentucky by one shot and Dayton by two at the top of the team leaderboard. Ball State is not competing as a team.
The second and final round will be played Tuesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
