Longwood Downs Field Hockey 1-0
October 18, 2014 | Field Hockey
FARMVILLE, Va. – The Ball State field hockey team recorded a 1-0 loss against Mid-American Conference foe Longwood Friday night. Senior midfielder Tarel Teach (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes/Beach Premier/Icoyo) registered the Cardinals lone shot on goal for the evening, compared to the Lancers two.
“Today was disappointing. Longwood came to play and we weren't ready,” Ball State field hockey head coach Beth Maddox said. “Now we have to regroup and get ready for Ohio on Sunday.”
Longwood's Hollie MacDonald secured the game early on after scoring in the 11th minute off a rebound. The Cardinals failed to capitalize on their four penalty corners to the Lancers two.
The Ball State field hockey team returns to action Sunday, Oct. 19, when they take on MAC opponent Ohio at 1:00 p.m. in Athens, Ohio.
