Men's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Play at UT Invite

AUSTIN, Texas - The Ball State men's tennis team ended its fall season at the Texas Invitational Sunday afternoon in the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
Ray Leonard went 2-0 Saturday in singles action, picking up straight set victories over Harley Pearson of Texas San Antonio and Jack McCullers of Air Force. Also in singles play, Patrick Downs did not give up a point in his 6-0, 6-0 win over UTSA's Fabian Brand.
The Cardinals did not compete in doubles competition after Friday's round. Patrick Elliott and Leonard teamed up posting an 8-3 win over Boburjon Kamijanov and Harley Pearson of Texas San Antonio but would lose their next match.
The Ball State men's tennis team will begin its spring season Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
