Sanders Continues Play At USTA/ITA Regionals

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Kristel Sanders remains the only Ball State women's tennis player remaining for the Cardinals at the USTA/ITA Regional Championship after day three's competition at the University of Memphis.
In singles action, Courtney Earnest along with teammate Courtney Wild lost their respective matches in straight sets. Ashlyn Rang and Bethany Moore both dropped their consolation singles competitions today after losing in the main draw Saturday. Sanders advanced in consolation action after taking down Eastern Kentucky's Kristina Labeja, 6-1, 6-2. She will now face Miami's Alix Thurman, Monday at 8 a.m.
The Ball State women's tennis team will end fall action, Nov. 1-3 at Cincinnati.
