Women's Golf Signs Brenna Obergfell

Brenna Obergfell, a graduate of Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Ind., has signed grant-in-aid papers to attend Ball State and compete on the women's golf team, according to head coach Katherine Mowat.
Obergfell earned four letters in golf at Noblesville, and was co-captain of her golf team as a junior and senior under the guidance of head coach Mike Abbott. She averaged 76.0 as a senior, placed fifth in the sectional and was third in the regional. Obergfell also managed top-10 placings at the Center Grove Invitational and the East Noble Invitational, where she finished ninth in each event. As a junior, she managed a 78.0 scoring average and tallied two top-five finishes.
In summer golf, Obergfell won four of six tournaments in 2010 and finished runner-up in two additional events. Obergfell finished runner-up in the age group season point standings in the 15-16 age group in 2010. She qualified for the Dr. Pepper Masters Tour in the summer of 2011, and competed in six Plantation Golf Tournaments around the Midwest. Obergfell managed a low round of 78 at the Indiana Women's Golf Association State Amateur Championship and placed eighth at the Indiana Golf Foundation Girls Age Group Championships.
Obergfell managed a 4.2 grade-point average on the school's 4.0 scale and ranked 22nd out of 565 students at Noblesville H.S. She is the daughter of Michael and Michelle Obergfell, and has twin siblings - Clay and Camille.
