Women's Golf in 11th at Rio Verde Intercollegiate

Ball State's women's golf team is in 11th place out of 15 teams after two rounds of the Rio Verde Intercollegiate in Rio Verde, Ariz.
The Cardinals own a 317-318=635 after the first two rounds. The third and final round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start Sunday. Akron leads the tournament with a 305-298=603.
Jenna Hague and Zoe Camus are tied for 42nd and were Ball State's top competitors with two round totals of 159. Hague managed an 80-79, while Camus tallied a 79-80. Meghan Perry and Autumn Duke are tied for 55th. Perry tallied an 80-81=161, while Duke carded a 78-83=161. Katie Windlan is tied for 59th with an 84-78-162.
The 2012 Rio Verde Invitational field consists of 16 teams. Wichita State and Yale are new to the tournament in 2012. Akron, Arkansas-Little Rock, Ball State, Bradley, Eastern Michigan, Kansas, Missouri State, Northern Arizona, Ohio, Penn State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wichita State, Xavier and Yale complete this year's field.
The Rio Verde Invitational returns to the Quail Run course at Rio Verde Country Club. It will play to a par of 71 with the front nine stretching 3,094 yards and the back, 3,166 for a total of 6,260 yards.
