
Men?s S&D Falls to Southern Illinois on Senior Day

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's swimming and diving team fell to Southern Illinois, 146-91, after tallying four event victories Friday evening at Lewellen Aquatic Center.
Senior Casey Schroeder (Williamsport, Ind./Seeger Memorial) posted the Cardinals' first individual event victory of the day in the 50 free, clocking in with a season-best 21.26, and then returning for a win in the 100 free (47.22).
Senior swimmer Chris Krupa (Indianapolis/Pike) also added a first-place performance in the 200 IM (1:55.43), while classmate Gavin McNeeley (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) followed with a win in the 100 breast with a time of 58.49.
Sophomore Jake Brehmer (Valparaiso, Ind./Chesterton) rounded out the Cardinals' top finishers on the 3-meter board (221.17) and 1-meter board (263.93).
Next up for Ball State is the 2012 MAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships in Oxford, Ohio at Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center March 1-3.
