Women's Tennis Competes at FIU Fall Invitational

MIAMI, Fla. - The Ball State women's tennis team completed day one of the Florida International End of the Fall Invitational Friday afternoon located on the FIU Tennis Courts.
In flight one singles action, sophomore Courtney Wild took down Rita Maisak of FIU in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Junior Kristel Sanders defeated Melissa Cecil of Air Force, 6-1, 6-3 in flight two and freshman Courtney Earnest also won in that same flight after her 6-0, 7-6 (8-4) victory against Lauren Hankle of Youngstown State. Senior Lauren Pickrel captured a win over Tijana Raicevic of Youngstown State in flight three.
Senior Paola Rodriguez paired up with Earnest for an 8-6 doubles victory over host FIU's Maisak and Lotte Gras.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues competition at the FIU End of the Fall Invitational Saturday at the FIU Tennis Courts.
