EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Ball State women's tennis program heads to Michigan State (Oct. 5-7) for the Auto Owners Spartan Invitational.
"Our team is ready and looking forward to a competitive weekend," said Ball State head women's tennis coach Christine Bader. "It is a great opportunity to face many of the teams we will see again this spring including some Mid-American Conference programs."
This marks the third straight season the Cardinals have competed in a fall tournament at Michigan State. The 13 teams participating in the Auto Owners Spartan Invitational will be Akron, Ball State, Cleveland State, Dayton, Illinois-Chicago, IPFW, Marquette, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State, Purdue, Toledo, Wisconsin and Xavier.
Michigan State is familiar territory for the BSU coaching staff, as Bader and graduate assistant Whitney Wilson are both four-year letterwinners for the Spartans. Bader and Wilson played No. 1 doubles together in 2008.
