Women's Tennis Defeats Dayton, 6-1

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team defeated Dayton, 6-1, at the Muncie YMCA on Wednesday night. The Cardinals current record is 2-0.
The Cardinals started off strong and swept in doubles. The duo of Courtney Wild and Kristel Sanders had an 8-2 victory over Dayton's Sammi Hornbarger and Maureen Stevens.
Dena Boulieris defeated Victoria Marchant in the No. 5 spot, 6-4, 6-0. The Cardinals only had one loss when Ashlyn Rang fell short of a victory against Sammi Hornberg 6-2, 6-3. In the No. 6 spot, Lauren Pickrel won against Georgia Lammers, 6-1, 6-0.
The Ball State's women's tennis team will host Wright State Friday at the Muncie YMCA. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
